Tower Details
Westminster, The Queen’s Tower, Imperial College London, SW7 2DD (TQ266792) 10 bells — 38- 1-15 in Db.
I am pleased to report that most of the work on the tower has been completed and that the regular schedule of ringing will resume in 2026. As before, ringing will usually take place for an hour, typically from 1300 but at a weekend the time may vary and a quarter peal may be arranged.
The likely schedule is
Commonwealth Day, Monday 9th March 2026
Coronation Day, 6th May
Post-Graduate Degree Ceremonies, Monday 1st June 2026
The anniversary of the birth of H. R. H. The Prince of Wales, 21st June
The anniversary of the birth of H. M. The Queen, 17th July
Accession Day, 8th September
Commemoration Day, 21st October 2026
The anniversary of the birth of H. M. The King, 14th November
When ringing takes place on weekdays visitors can usually be accommodated but we ask that you make contact in advance.
You should bear in mind that with 239 steps to the ringing chamber, a 38 cwt tenor and considerable tower movement, strong legs and arms and good bell-handling are indispensable qualifications for ringing here.
