These notes are a brief outline of the cover that the Association has effected for the benefit of Members and are for general guidance only. The full extent of cover is subject to the terms, conditions and exceptions described in the relevant policy. The full policies can be inspected at any Association meeting and at other times by arrangement with the General Treasurer or General Secretary. Should any Member wish to make a claim this should initially be made to the General Treasurer or General Secretary.
Personal Accident
Cover is for Members of the Association and their pupils and is to apply: whilst ringing, instructing, inspecting, maintaining, installing or doing work of any description on towers and/or bells and/or their fittings anywhere in Great Britain, including direct journeys to and from churches. Cover is extended to include those Members engaged on inspections, repairs, and/or restoration work undertaken by the Bell Restoration Committee.
Benefits are as defined in the policy but include:
- Death, Permanent Disability (total or partial): £20,000
- Temporary Total Disablement: nil
(Reduced benefits apply to those aged under 16 or over 70).
Public Liability
The Association does not have Public Liability insurance.
