2019 Striking Competitions

S&W striking competition The S&W 6-bell striking competition took place on 9th June at Harefield, judged by Tony Crowther and Mark Hall from Hertfordshire. Two of the usual favourites, Staines and Hillingdon, could not field a team, so the competition was much more open than usual. Challenge Accepted!

Few people will be aware that the Rhodesia Plate Striking Competition Trophy (awarded to the team, other than the winners of the Association Plate, ringing the best 120 in the six bell striking competition at the Association Autumn General Meeting) was intended to be a challenge trophy, that is, at any point the holder can be challenged for it. Middlesex Association Bellringing Summer School

The Middlesex Association Bellringing Summer School concluded yesterday (25th August 2017) after a week of activity centred on St Mary Abbots Church, Kensington, where around twenty participants made extensive use of the new training bells, but also including sessions on handbells (tune ringing and change ringing), theory and history sessions, a maintenance/steeple keeping session at Fulham (All Saints), and a group visit to St Paul's Cathedral (see below). Middlesex Ringing for 800th Lord Mayor’s Show Day

              A band of twelve members of the Middlesex County Association & London Diocesan Guild arranged by master Geraldine Forster successfully rang a special touch of 800 changes of Stedman Cinques at St Mary le Bow. Middlesex Eight Bell Striking Competition
